TITLE:

SUBTITLE:  Slow Couture, Grown at Nature’s Tempo

MOSS-TERPIECE

MEDIUM: Mixed media – cardboard & moss. Large organic form entirely covered in moss, evokes a mound, bog, or hill. Fully sustainable and organic piece. 100% naturally grown moss from the province of Tucumán, Argentina.

DIMENSIONS: 2.50M x 1.20M

UPKEEP: I personally spray-watered the artwork daily.

The Moss-terpiece responded by liberating a strong wet grass scent.

YEAR: 2024

SPACE: The installation was created specifically for an expansive industrial concrete room, which serves not as a traditional narrow window display, but as a gallery-like space where performances and other art forms are showcased.

RESEARCH QUESTION: (How) can I convey the brand's slow (but steady) fashion ethos through a window display or installation that poetically symbolizes the use of natural materials and craftsmanship?

VISION & MISSION:  As an artist-designer my mission had several

layers; Firstly, capturing the essence and aesthetics of Raimondi to then give it form and life. Secondly, reflecting on the brand’s values such as the use of natural fabrics and craftsmanship, which makes for unique sculptural-like products. I wanted the installation to express the creative freshness which characterizes the designer through the freshly-cut grass scent and the living quality of moss. Simultaneously,

I strived to convey the brand’s choice of a slow rather than a fast and industrial pace without losing touch with Raimondi’s futuristic and eastern inspiration.
